ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis, and it is a research-based treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The goal of ABA is to improve communication, social connections, play skills, and reduce problem behaviors. Each child is capable of learning, and each curriculum is adapted to their specific requirements.

Behavior Management

Plans are made to decrease undesirable behaviors and instill new, more positive ones.

Communication

Children are taught a variety of ways to communicate using evidence-based strategies.

Social Skills

Children acquire and develop critical social skills through an engaging social curriculum with peers of similar ages.

School Consultation

Supervisors from STAR collaborate with the child’s school to facilitate program generalization across environments.
